INISULAWESI.COM, BANGGAI – Sebuah truk bermuatan gas LPG mengalami kecelakaan di Desa Tombos, Kecamatan Balantak Selatan, Kabupaten Banggai, pada Sabtu (15/2/2025). Insiden ini terjadi sekitar pukul 17.00 WITA akibat rem blong, menyebabkan truk kehilangan kendali dan terbalik di selokan.
Kapolsek Balantak, AKP Teddy Polii, mengungkapkan bahwa truk Isuzu merah dengan nomor polisi DN 8691 RA itu dikemudikan oleh Frandi Andika (43), warga Desa Dondo Soboli. Saat melaju dari Desa Sepe menuju Desa Tombos, kendaraan mengalami kendala teknis yang mengakibatkan kecelakaan tunggal.
“Sesampainya di turunan Desa Tombos, truk mengalami rem blong sehingga tidak bisa dikendalikan dan akhirnya terbalik di selokan,” jelas AKP Teddy.
Beruntung, tidak ada korban jiwa dalam kejadian ini. Pengemudi dan penumpangnya selamat tanpa luka serius.
Polisi bersama warga setempat segera melakukan evakuasi terhadap kendaraan dan muatan yang berserakan. “Evakuasi ini menunjukkan kerja sama yang baik antara polisi dan masyarakat dalam menangani keadaan darurat,” tambah AKP Teddy.
Ia juga mengingatkan pentingnya pemeriksaan berkala pada kendaraan untuk mencegah kecelakaan akibat kegagalan fungsi rem atau komponen lainnya.
